Noali does not replace psychologists, psychiatrists, sober companions, case managers, interventionists or support groups: Noali is the link between teams, appointments, groups and families.
Noali Family & Friends

Help someone who drinks, without losing yourself

When someone you love drinks or uses, you look everywhere for how to help them. You often forget the only person you can really change: yourself. Noali Family & Friends is built for both.

What Noali Family & Friends gives you

The right role, at the right distance

Codependency is when a family member’s life starts to organise itself around someone else’s drinking: watching, covering, controlling, burning out. It is not a weakness, it is a reflex of love that ends up harming both people. Noali Family & Friends offers a fairer role: being there when it matters, and living your life the rest of the time.

In practice, the person in recovery chooses what they share with you. You do not monitor: you are alerted if they decided you should be, and you have your own tools to hold on.

Understand what is happening

Plain explanations of addiction, relapse, cravings and codependency. So you stop guessing and stop blaming yourself.

Know what to say, and what not to say

How to talk to someone who drinks without pushing them away: sentences that open the door, sentences that close it, and why.

The crisis plan, your part

If your relative has put you in their crisis plan, you know exactly what they expect from you on that day. No more, no less.

Exercises for you

Setting limits, managing fear, getting your sleep back, stepping out of surveillance. The same approaches (CBT, ACT) as for the person in recovery, adapted to families.

Be alerted, not spy

You only see what your relative chose to share: their mood for the week, an alert, a message. They can close it any time. That is what makes trust possible.

Your own companion

A space of your own, a companion that knows you, a place to write what you cannot say to anyone. Because you matter too.

What Noali does not do
  • Noali Family & Friends does not let you monitor someone without their knowledge: nothing is shared without that person’s decision.
  • Noali does not replace a family support group (Al-Anon, Nar-Anon, Adfam) or a family therapist. It can help you get there.

My partner drinks, my son uses drugs: what do I do?

The first thing is to inform yourself and get help for you. The second is to give up control: hiding bottles, searching phones, threatening does not work and it damages you. The third is to say once, calmly, what you see and what you wish for, and to leave the door open. Noali Family & Friends walks you through those three steps and gives you a place to put down the rest.

If your relative is already being supported (rehab, clinic, sober companion, coach), Noali links their plan, their team and you, under their control.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Noali Family & Friends cost?

€9.99 a month for your family space. The person in recovery can also add you to their own plan. Details are on the Pricing page.

Will my relative know I use Noali?

Your space is yours and stays private. The link to their plan only exists if they open it themselves.

What if my relative refuses all help?

That is common. Noali Family & Friends is useful even then: for you, to hold on, to prepare for the moment the door opens.

I am the parent of a teenager, is it suitable?

Noali Family & Friends is for adults supporting an adult. For a minor, contact a young people’s drug and alcohol service or your family doctor.
